A love of gardening is in our blood. Many of our locations offer wonderful gardens to wander through and admire.

Mount Usher Gardens are an award-winning example of Robinsonian Gardens. We count ourselves very lucky to have one of our Avoca locations nestled in this stunning setting. Kilmacanogue is nestled in what used to be the gardens of the estate belonging to the Jameson Whiskey family. Avoca at Powerscourt House is set in one of Ireland’s most famous gardens, while our location at Malahide Castle has fabulous botanical walled gardens. Even our Suffolk Street store in the heart of Dublin has a secret rooftop garden.

We have the Avoca Garden Rooms at our Kilmacanogue and Dunboyne locations,  both boasting fabulous nurseries, bursting with flowers, plants and beautiful garden accessories.

Our mill, set in the charming village of Avoca Co. Wicklow, could easily be overlooked as a picture-perfect relic of times gone by. However, within these white washed walls lies the hub and heart of our weaving industry. 

All of our weaving and much of our design processes occur here. We love welcoming visitors to our mill where they can soak up the atmosphere and observe the weaving journey in progress. Having seen first-hand the care and attention which goes into each piece, visitors can continue to our shop and enjoy some of the delicious homemade sweet and savoury treats on offer in our café.

Our mill tour invites people to see first-hand where our throws, rugs, scarves, and more come from, and to witness them being made by hand. Visitors can chat with third-generation weavers to learn more about the craft, and can find out the steps involved in the making of a famous Avoca throw.
