A love of gardening is in our blood. We love to be in the midst of towering trees and tranquil, landscaped gardens. Many of our locations offer wonderful gardens to wander through and admire, while others boast fabulous nurseries, bursting with flowers, plants and beautiful garden accessories.
Our Gardens
Our base in Kilmacanogue is nestled in what used to be the gardens of the estate belonging to the Jameson Whiskey family, boasting rare and lovely trees including a 900 year old Yew walk. Here you can also explore our ‘Friends of the Forest’ trail, an interactive nature trail set in the beautiful grounds and perfect for children and families. Follow the 10 points of the trail, and discover the animals and plants along the way.
Avoca at Powerscourt House is set in one of Ireland’s most famous gardens, stretching over 47 acres it offers visitors a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues and ornamental lakes, secret hollows and rambling walks.
Our location at Malahide Castle is set on 260 acres of parkland, the gardens and Butterfly House at Malahide Castle are a tranquil retreat and the perfect picnic spot on a warm summers day.
Even our Suffolk Street store in the heart of Dublin has a secret rooftop garden!
Our Grow Garden
In our Avoca Dunboyne location we have a kitchen garden, where we grow a lot of our own vegetables and herbs. We offering outdoor seating in the covered terrace amidst rows of growing fruit and vegetables, where you can immerse yourself in a true ‘farm to fork’ experience.
Mount Usher Gardens
An award-winning example of Robinsonian Gardens, we count ourselves very lucky to have one of our Avoca locations nestled in this stunning setting. A haven of rare beauty and tranquillity with a relaxed informality and natural layout, Mount Usher Gardens was named by Monty Don as one of his favourite gardens in the world.
