Placing an Order Online

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept the following payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, Google Pay, Apply Pay, Klarna.

We also accept Avoca gift cards & digital e-gift cards.

Do I need to register an account to shop online?

Registering an account, you are able to store information such as address details, contact information, and order history. You can easily check your gift card balance. As a registered user, you can save and share your Avoca wish list with your friends and family.

What currencies can I shop in?

Avoca.com currently supports 5 types of currencies: Euro, Sterling, US dollar, Canadian dollar, and Australian dollar.

How do I know if my order has been successful?

Once your order's gone through, you should receive an email with an order number. If you don't receive an email, just double check that you've spelt your email address correctly. It's also worth checking your junk mail. If you've checked and you're still unsure, please contact our Customer Care Team who will be happy to look into this for you. 

Can I add to an existing order?

Unfortunately, we can’t add to orders, however, if you contact our Customer Care Team within a few hours of your original order to notify us you want to add to your order, we will hold your order until you place a second order for the additional items. Contact us with the new order number as soon as you order, and we'll be happy to refund you one of the postage charges.

Will I be charged customs and duties on my order?

Products delivered to destinations outside Ireland may be subject to taxes, fees, levies or other charges, which are imposed by local legislation.

The recipient of the products is responsible for all customs formalities for their export and import and will be required to pay any additional charges, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies and other charges. The recipient of the goods, not the person who ordered them, will receive a separate request for payment of these charges.

If you're ordering products to be delivered to someone else, please make sure they're aware they will be responsible for any additional charges. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, so we're unable to offer any assistance on these processes. We'd advise that you check the import charges applicable in any country before ordering products to be delivered there.

Any returns from countries outside the European Union (EU) may incur costs including transport costs, as well as any associated import fees or customs where applicable. These costs will be payable by the person returning the goods. Please see our returns policy for more details.

Important! Information for Orders to the UK (Duty and Customs Charges)

Due to UK import regulations, orders exceeding £135 may be subject to additional customs duties and handling fees charged by the courier upon delivery. These fees are determined by UK Customs and are outside of Avoca’s control. We are not responsible for any such charges.

VAT is charged at the time of purchase on Avoca.com. This is the standard UK tax that Avoca pays back to the UK Government, and the VAT charge at checkout is mandatory. Customs duties, however, are additional import fees collected directly by the UK Government upon entry. 

While the majority of our products are made in Ireland and other EU countries, please note that select items may be produced outside the EU, which can affect the amount of duty applied.

We strongly recommend that UK customers familiarise themselves with current import and customs regulations before placing an order.

Important! Information for Orders to the USA (duty and customs charges).

Due to recent changes in U.S. tariff regulations, orders shipped to the United States may be subject to additional charges from the courier upon delivery. These fees are determined by U.S. Customs and are outside of Avoca’s control, we are not responsible for these charges.

While the majority of our products are crafted in Ireland and other parts of the EU, please note that select items are produced in countries with higher tariff rates. This may increase the likelihood of extra charges being applied when your order arrives in the USA.

We strongly recommend that U.S. customers familiarise themselves with any applicable import tariffs before placing an order.

Which couriers do you use for your online delivery?

We work with a variety of trusted courier partners to offer the best delivery options for our customers. Depending on your order and location, your parcel may be delivered by An Post, DPD, UPS, or DHL.

Can I track my delivery?

Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you can track your parcel directly with the courier handling your delivery. You’ll receive your tracking details by email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Simply click on the link in your email or visit your courier’s tracking page and enter your tracking number.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Do I need to sign for my Avoca package?

Yes, it is our courier's policy that you need to sign for your package unless you arrange otherwise with them.

What happens if I am not available when you try to deliver my order?

If you are not at home to accept the delivery, our courier will leave a card with their contact details. You can then contact them directly to re-arrange delivery or arrange to collect your order.

*Important, please note: Our couriers reserve the right to leave a parcel with a neighbour or concierge to ensure parcels are not returned to Avoca by couriers due to the recipient not being home.

Gift cards and digital e-gift cards are not refundable.

How do I return an unwanted item?

Find detailed instructions on how to return an unwanted item, ensuring it is unused, unworn, with all tags/labels attached, and in its original packaging. How long will it take to receive my refund?

Gift Wrap & Personal Message

Can I gift wrap my order?

If you'd like to make your gift extra special, we can gift wrap your order. The gift wrap options include our classic red gift box or luxury gift wrapping paper, all tied up with Avoca's signature ribbon. The gift wrap selection depends on the products in your order, and we will ensure to select the packaging option that best complements them.

*Please note: If suitable, all items within your order will be presented as one gift wrap package. Due to product size variations, this is not always an option, and we may need to wrap items separately.

Can I include a personal gift note message with my order?

Whether or not you choose to gift wrap your order, you can add your own personal gift message below. Choose whether to send your gift straight to the recipient or to yourself so you can deliver it personally.

Can I place an order to collect in-store?

Yes! You can select your nearest Avoca and collect your order from the store of your choice. Please note, some stores are excluded from this service.
