Avoca Charity Partnership with The Gavin Glynn Foundation

For the fourth year in a row, Avoca is honoured to partner with The Gavin Glynn Foundation as our chosen charity for 2025. This inspiring Wicklow-based organisation supports families of children facing cancer, helping them travel abroad for critical treatments unavailable in Ireland. The Gavin Glynn Foundation believes that every child fighting cancer deserves access to the best possible care, no matter where in the world that may be. We are deeply proud to stand beside them in their mission.

The Gavin Glynn Foundation was established when 18-month old Gavin Glynn was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. After extensive chemotherapy treatment here in Ireland, Gavin had to be taken to Switzerland where they specialise in the treatment of young children and the precision radiation treatment he needed.

The Glynn family moved to Switzerland for over two months, and family and friends raised over €16,000 to cover the cost of the travel and treatment for Gavin.

Tragically, after heroically battling cancer for over two years Gavin passed away in 2014 at the very young age of four. He went through several rounds of treatment and tests in Ireland, Switzerland, Holland, and the United States. The Glynn family set up the foundation in his name to help other families of children with cancer and to encourage them to never give up hope.

We are immensely proud to support this incredible cause and to raise money and awareness in order to help families of children with cancer have access to the very best care across the world.

Gifts that Give Back

Our in-house design team has created a beautiful candle as an exclusive charity product, with the entirety of the proceeds going directly to the Gavin Glynn Foundation.

The candle is extra-large in size with a double wick and is delicately scented with sandalwood. Featuring a meaningful quote:
