And just like that, AW26 has arrived at Avoca.
On Thursday, 17th September, we took over the beautiful grounds of Avoca Kilmacanogue for our Autumn Winter 2026 Fashion Show, bringing together bold new-season style, incredible Irish talent and over 300 years of weaving heritage. Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect setting for a celebration of fashion, colour, music and a little bit of Avoca magic.
Guests gathered beneath the ancient Monterey Cypress tree and enjoyed an autumnal breakfast feast featuring pumpkin-inspired canapés before the show began. Music from Michelle Mason and BIIRD’s Aoife Kelly set the tone as models stepped onto a runway made entirely from Avoca fabric, woven at our historic Mill in County Wicklow.
Styled by the wonderful Catherine Condell, the collection brought heritage dressing together with bold tailoring, statement outerwear, vibrant knitwear, fabulous partywear and joyful colour. Avoca scarves were layered over rich autumnal tones, while our playful sheep-print socks peeked out beneath cosy winter looks. The latest jewellery designs from Irish brand Love Beth added just the right touch of sparkle and party-season glamour.
A standout moment was the unveiling of six bright and bold Avoca Mill coats, including three incredible designs by Thea Drislane, winner of our NCAD x Avoca design competition. We were so proud to see Thea’s designs come to life on the runway after commissioning them into production using 100% native Irish Galway wool. Celebrating local, renewable materials and emerging Irish talent, the collection brings our textile heritage together with an exciting new generation of design.
The runway also featured timeless heritage checks from Barbour and beautiful new-season pieces from Vilagallo and Christine Murphy’s Urban Aran. Vibrant statement knitwear from MUNTHE brought colour and personality, while Never Fully Dressed and FRNCH showcased expressive prints, faux fur and standout partywear. Joanne McNally’s newly launched Anxious Preoccupied accessories added another playful layer of maximalism and dopamine dressing.
Maoliosa Connell, our Director of Marketing, Creative & Brand, shared: “There’s an energy and newness across everything we’re doing, from the new fashion brands we’re introducing to how we’re communicating with new audiences. This season brings even more momentum, and we’re thrilled with the reaction so far.”
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped bring such a special day to life. From beautifully crafted Avoca pieces to exciting Irish and international labels, AW26 is all about rich texture, expressive colour, cosy layers and standout style. What a way to welcome a new season.
